Job description
Expertise in MECM (SCCM), analyzing, creating and modifying applications, as well as developing enterprise platform standards. Will provide relevant third level desktop applications support to staff on all software platforms. Develop and implement architectural enterprise and platform solutions within the Marin Health domain. Will liaise between IT management and executive sponsors, IS personnel, and users. Communicate issues regarding overall operations status and strategy. Acts as a technical and team lead for team planning, coordination, mentoring, and consultation of IT staff members through team in-service and training. High degree of communication and interaction with IT staff, users, outside vendors, and consultants. Responsible for creating and documenting process and policies related to all aspects of enterprise platform solutions, deployments, and operations., Essential (Not Modifiable)
Establishes and maintain system configurations for the MECM (SCCM) environment, including primary and secondary site servers, distribution points, and clients.
Recommends MECM (SCCM) architectural design updates, standards, and configuration modifications.
Develop and utilize tools for remote management and support of enterprise endpoints and servers.
Develops and maintain operational support procedures for the MECM (SCCM) environment, all software, hardware, imaging, and security solutions.
Architects, creates, deploys, and maintains standard workstation builds for desktops and laptops and servers; fully automate zero touch build process for each.
Expertise in the following imaging solutions: MECM (SCCM) MDT, hardware onboarding, and VM provisioning.
Architects and implements patch distribution management (desktop, server, and software).
Ensures workstation operation system has the latest security updates (Microsoft and non-Microsoft products), service packs, and manages BIOS & driver maintenance.
Creates, deploys and maintains automated installations and repetitive tasks (e.g. workstation reboots after monthly updates) through the use of scripting language e.g., Batch, PowerShell, and Visual Basic.
Well versed in enterprise Active Directory best practices and standards, group policy management, object management, and the continued health and maintenance in these areas.
Interfaces with other technology groups to coordinate workstation hardware, software, and application capabilities and standards.
Serve as project coordinator for infrastructure and platform related projects, coordinating the direction and resources of required teams.
Responsible for selecting, testing, and approving endpoint device and peripheral standards for the enterprise.
Develops, implements, and maintains enterprise solutions such as single sign on, multi-factor authentication (MFA), Office 365, Cameras, Imprivata, print servers, and all software and OS licensing.
Provides technical support and troubleshooting expertise to all levels of staff, vendors, and customers.
Maintains up to date documentation and follows best practices in application and system environments.

Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related degree preferred, or a combination of education, training, certifications, and relevant work experience (10 years hands on).
Experience: 7 years of experience as a Platform Engineer, leading engineering programs, initiatives, projects and team members.
License and Certifications: Valid California Driver's License, Class C, and transportation required.
MCSE - Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer preferred.
MCP - Microsoft Certified Professional preferred.
Prerequisite Skills: Proven experience in MECM (SCCM) and desktop deployment methodologies and best practices.
Experience in planning and deploying application upgrades and acting as Service Center third level support.
In-depth knowledge of all Windows Operating systems and best practice procedures for both workstations and servers.
Ability to multitask and handle multiple issues and upgrades simultaneously.
The ability to accept mentoring from others and quickly adapt suggested improvements is required.
This position requires the insight necessary to identify roadblocks and reach out to others for coordination and assistance to resolve issues.
Ability to work independently and to maintain composure when under pressure.
Superior customer service skills. Ability to interact and communicate with customers both verbal and written.
Experience with installation and maintenance of desktop and server-based applications and solutions.
Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy Management, DNS, and DHCP, Azure, ADFS, KMS, etc.
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
Hospital experience preferred.
