Software Asset Management (SAM): Maintain an accurate, continuous inventory of all software licenses, entitlements, subscriptions, and containerized software.

Audit Readiness and Compliance: Ensure compliance with AR 710?4, DoDI 4140.73, and other Army regulations. Track usage against license agreements, validate authorized installations, and support internal and external audits.

Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze software inventory data to provide leadership with actionable insights. Identify cost?saving opportunities and detect unauthorized or unapproved software.

Process Improvement and Policy Development: Develop and implement SOPs for software procurement, tracking, lifecycle management, and disposal. Ensure alignment with DoD Enterprise Software Initiatives (ESI).

Requirement Validation: Review and validate software acquisition packages to ensure compliance with Army IT approval processes and policy.

Reporting and Accountability: Conduct recurring inventories and submit required reports to the appropriate Accountable Property Systems of Record (APSRs).

Vendor and Contract Management: Monitor maintenance contracts, renewal cycles, and usage to optimize cost and rights?sizing of software portfolios.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Army logistics, property book management, or supply chain management.
- Proficiency with Army systems such as GCSS?Army, LMP, DPAS, or AESIP.
- Strong understanding of Army property accountability, supply processes, or asset management standards.
- Experience supporting DoD or Army organizations in software accountability or property management functions.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively across technical, contracting, logistics, and leadership teams.
