Job description
The Tampa Bay Rays Information Technology department is looking for a proactive, detail-oriented team player with a positive attitude to support day-to-day Help Desk operations for our front office and baseball operations staff. You will be the primary point of contact for our users, ensuring that our team-from the front office to the scouts-has the technology they need to succeed on and off the field. Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for front office employees, scouts, trainers, and contractors in person, by phone, and through our ticketing system.
- Document all support requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions accurately.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for computers, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Provide user-level support for Microsoft 365, Windows 11, macOS, iOS, and Android.
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and upgrade computers, printers, and related equipment.
- Assist with basic software installations and account provisioning.
- Rotate with IT staff to provide coverage for night and weekend home games and events at Tropicana Field.
- Travel to other Rays facilities (including Charlotte Sports Park and Al Lang Stadium) for on-site support. Mileage is reimbursed.
Requirements
- Ability to work under pressure, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-changing environment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Working knowledge of hardware setup, troubleshooting, and software installation.
- Familiarity with Windows, macOS, and mobile device platforms.
- A genuine desire to learn and grow your technical skills.
- An interest in scripting, programming, or automation is a plus, but not required.
- High school diploma required; a degree in technology or active progress toward one is a plus.
