Job description

  • Perform systems engineering activities for payload systems, including requirements management, design analysis, and documentation
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including hardware, software, and cyber-security engineers to develop technical solutions
  • Manage requirements traceability between capability improvements, design documents, and systems engineering toolsets with minimal supervision
  • Participate in design reviews, communicate technical solutions to development teams, and support agile sprint planning and execution
  • Resolve technical issues, ensure system design and non-functional requirements are properly addressed, and conduct research spikes

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree and 6 months of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred., * Strong understanding of systems engineering principles with proven ability to manage requirements and deliver technical solutions

  • Team player who thrives in collaborative agile environments and contributes to team success

We Encourage You to Apply if You Have Any of These Preferred Skills or Experiences:

  • 3-5 years of systems engineering experience in defense or complex system development
  • Proficiency with requirements management tools (DOORS, Jira, Jama) and systems modeling tools (MagicDraw, Cameo)
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and mapping requirements to software implementation
  • Working knowledge of Agile or SCRUM methodologies with experience supporting development teams
  • Familiarity with payload systems, naval systems, or defense applications
