The duties that the incumbent of the vacancy will be expected to perform. Duties Description ITS provides operational support to state agencies on a 24x7x365 basis; some positions may be required to provide this critical service at any time.Under the direction of a Data Management Specialist, the IES Database Developer will be assigned to the Integrate Eligibility System (IES) within the Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) and will work with the Data Management Teams designing, implementing, and optimizing Master Data Management (DM) solutions. Duties include but are not limited to the following. * Design and implement scalable DM solutions, including data modeling, data quality, governance, and integration strategies.* Guide the definition and implementation of DM architecture principles and design patterns for various styles, ensuring smooth data publishing and subscribing for applications.* Utilize programming languages (Python, R, SQL) for data manipulation, analysis, and process automation. * Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like Informatica.* Build and deploy DM solutions and integrations on cloud platforms such as GCP and AWS.* Analyze existing DM architectures and develop roadmaps for optimization.* Research emerging DM trends and refine technology strategy.* Act as a business analyst, gathering requirements, performing fit-gap analysis, and preparing documentation.* Identify automation opportunities in data conversion and integration processes to improve efficiency.* Ensure adherence to data governance policies and security measures.* Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and resolve issues.
Requirements
The minimum qualifications required for this vacancy. Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Two (2) years of experience in experience in DM architecture, data modeling, governance, and data quality.* A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field may substitute for one (1) year of general experience.* A Master's degree in Computer Science, or a closely related field may substitute for one (1) additional year of general experience.Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with Python, R, and SQL (PostgreSQL) and DM tools like Informatica and ETL/ELT processes.* Experience with building and deploying solutions on AWS and GCP, including relevant cloud services.* Experience in Python, API and Webservices for data integration.* Experience in conducing fit-gap analysis, document requirements, and facilitate workshops.* Experience identifying and implementing automation for process improvement.* Experience working in a government setting.
