Job description
- Post-Award Acquisition Support: Provide advice, recommendations, and document support in all areas of the acquisition post-award phase. Acquisition post-award support includes: Contract Administration, Contract Modification Support, Delivery/Task Order Support, and Invoicing
- The Principal Contract Specialist will assist with contracts compliance regarding terms and conditions.
- Award/Selection Support: Provide support to the Contracting Officers and various technical offices in all types of source selections including formal, informal, and vendor screening processes. Source selection/award support includes: Contract Award Documents and Contract Award Acquisition Support.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience as a Contract Specialist or Contract Officer, managing federal acquisition package requirements & delivering on acquisition centric operational tempos
- Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility REQUIRED
- The Principal Contract Specialist will have contract experience in either the Intelligence Community (IC) or Department of Defense (DoD).
- Expert knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DoD Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
- Experience managing large and complex software development and installation contracts inclusive of all CLIN types.
- Proficiency in using contract writing & administration tools, to perform Funding MODs, Admin MODs and Change Orders.
- The Principal Contract Specialist will have excellent contract administration experience.
- DAWIA II and/or FAC-C II certification.
- Strong business acumen and excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Superior customer service, critical thinking, and communications skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- The Principal Contract Specialist must be a self-starter, high energy, and able to lead a complex long-term initiative.
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Business or related field.
Preferred:
- Substantial financial analysis experience to include: funding and invoice analysis, analysis of CPIF CPFF and FFP CLINS, and analysis of schedule based performance incentives.
- Experience performing comparative analysis of vendor terms and/or cost proposals with historical data to develop recommendations on vendor selection, program/contract terms, and/or prices.
- Experience performing Best Value Tradeoff, Lowest Price Technically Acceptable, and/or awarding Sole Source.
- Proficiency in using PRISM.
- Substantial experience using network share drives for data management.
- DAWIA III and/or FAC-C III certification.
- Master's degree in Accounting/Finance/Business or related field.
