Job description

  • Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a welcoming environment.
  • Manage patient scheduling, including appointments and follow-ups, utilizing EHR systems.
  • Conduct insurance verification and collect necessary payments while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Obtain, copy and utilize patient's insurance for proper billing
  • Assist with medical billing including collection of copayments and amounts due.
  • Handle multi-line phone systems efficiently, addressing inquiries and directing calls appropriately.
  • Support the administrative functions of the clinic by managing filing systems, typing reports, and utilizing Microsoft Office applications effectively.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop care plans and ensure seamless patient flow through the clinic.
  • Provide clerical support as needed to enhance operational efficiency within the office.

Requirements

We are seeking a full time dedicated and organized Front Desk Coordinator to join our team. This role is essential in providing exceptional patient service and administrative support within our medical practice. The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical office setting, demonstrating proficiency in various electronic health record (EHR) systems, and possess strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and staff., * Strong understanding of medical terminology and experience with health information management.

  • Proficiency in EHR systems is preferred
  • Knowledge of insurance processes including Medicare and the numerous commercial insurance companies (Aetna, Horizon BCBSNJ, Cigna, Tricare, United Healthcare familiarity with medical coding practices (CPT coding, ICD coding).
  • Excellent computer skills with typing proficiency.
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply for enhanced patient communication.
  • Previous experience in a medical office or clinic environment is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction and effective phone etiquette.
