Job description
The primary function of this position is to develop and maintain features and code for our software products using applied principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. You will participate in the full software development life cycle and collaborate closely with your team to deliver high-quality software., * Communicate. Work closely with your team and others to implement product specifications and create high-quality software.
- Solve Problems. Investigate, prototype, document, estimate, and provide creative solutions for projects.
- Develop. Write new code and make changes to existing code, implementing new features and maintaining existing functionality.
- Test. Troubleshoot, test, and maintain code to ensure reliability and quality.
- Review. Proactively perform code reviews, give feedback, and ask questions.
- Collaborate. Work with product managers and designers to influence the strategy and delivery of product features.
- Grow. Keep current with technology and continuously develop your skills.
- Other duties as assigned.
This position follows established policies and procedures to keep confidential information secure.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or similar field preferred
- 1-3+ years' experience with C++ or another object-oriented programming language
- Strong coding skills and an eye for detail
- Great verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional ability to think critically and solve problems
- Ability to effectively test and document your own work
- Flexibility and willingness to accept a change in priorities as necessary
- Enjoys identifying and troubleshooting problems
- Ability to think and work independently and as an integral team member
Additional desirable qualifications:
- Experience with C++ and MFC (Microsoft Foundation Classes)
- Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience with the Microsoft Visual Studio IDE
- Familiarity with the software development life cycle
- Strong time management skills
- Strong initiative and sound decision-making ability
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
- Ability to travel as needed
