Job description

  • Support existing and emerging software products in Kimley-Horn's portfolio
  • Develop applications and creative solutions based on project requirements
  • Integrate with existing and new vendor platforms to extend out-of-the-box functionality
  • Build and optimize Web APIs to facilitate data exchange between internal software products and third-party vendor platforms
  • Develop back-end processes to help streamline and improve daily workflows
  • Work with team members and business partners to determine project requirements and enhancements based on business and user needs
  • Provide quality assurance/quality control and participate in code reviews
  • Implement and support applications post deployment
  • Quickly evaluate bugs, and apply hot fixes to resolve issues
  • Understand and apply best practices; remain knowledgeable of trends in the software development industry

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology/Systems, Computer Science, or related field
  • 1-5 years relevant experience
  • Object-oriented programming (C#, .NET) experience
  • Relational database design and development (MS SQL Server, Oracle)
  • Web development languages and frameworks (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Blazor)
  • Experience with Microsoft ecosystem, preferred
  • Self-starter who works well with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
