Requirements
Do you have experience in Implementing cloud migration projects?, * Solid hands-on Microsoft experience - Azure, M365, on-prem and cloud domain admin (solid experience requirement)
- Real cloud migration experience, not just theoretical
- MSP background - you know what it means to juggle multiple client environments at once
- Microsoft certifications are a plus - Azure Administrator, M365, or similar
- ConnectWise or similar RMM/security platform experience is helpful
- People skills - we are in a service industry, so you have to be able to talk to anyone, at any level, without an air of superiority
Don't know maritime communications?
That's okay. They've got people who do, and they'll bring you up to speed. If you're strong on the Microsoft and MSP side, the offshore piece is learnable. Starlink, OneWeb, vessel networking - you'll get there.
Benefits & conditions
Compensation is open and based on your experience and while this is NOT a low-ball situation, we need to be realistic. They really need a great fit and want a long-term partnership. Ramp-up time to effectiveness is THE key factor.
About the company
This is a serious technical role for somebody who knows their stuff and isn't afraid to get in the weeds. Our client is a well-known IT services company right here in the Acadiana area. They support a variety of clients including maritime and offshore accounts across the Gulf South, and they need somebody who can walk into a NOC, own the hard problems, and work with people, not just screens.
This is also a role with a future. If you've been grinding as a senior engineer and wondering when you're going to get the shot to lead, this could be it. They want somebody who can grow into running the team.
Here's what you'll be doing:
* Managing and troubleshooting networks across multiple client environments; primarily MSP work, so you'll have a lot on your plate
* Running Microsoft environments on-prem, in the cloud, and everything in between including Azure, M365, domain and tenant administration
* Leading cloud migrations from on-prem to cloud-based infrastructure
* Working the ConnectWise stack - SentinelOne, XDR, SIEM/RMM, Proofpoint
* Talking to users (CLIENTS) including boat captains, office managers, IT contacts - making sure they feel heard and explaining what's going on without making them feel 'less than' just because they aren't at your technical level
* Jumping between tier levels when the team needs you, and helping lead that team
