Job description
- Design and deploy servers in on-premises and cloud environments, using VMWare, Microsoft Server 2016/2019/2022/2025, and Microsoft Azure
- Implement and maintain local area networks, including switching, routing, firewalls, and configuration of remote access and site-to-site VPNs
Document new client networks as a part of the onboarding processProvide professional and responsive client communication and coordination throughout project engagements*Serve as top tier of escalation for complex desktop, server and network issues
- Develop and execute test plans to check infrastructure and system performance
- Develop best practices standards for client systems
- Work with Service Delivery Manager to recommend technical direction for managed IT services offerings
- Work with sales team to scope and present projects and network assessments for both new sales and existing clients
- Work with other professional services team members to review and continuously improve standard operating procedures and best-practice workflows
- Provide technology leadership and mentoring to technical staff
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years' experience in IT systems engineering, with strong preference having worked at least 2 years at an MSP
- (Preferably) Possess one or more of the following certifications: Microsoft Certified Azure Fundamenta ls, MS Certified Security/Compliance/Identity Fundamentals VMWare Certified Professional
Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to explain complex technical issues simplyStrong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills, ability to take ownership of problems
