We are currently looking for a Network Operations Specialist to join our USFK Team. Responsibilities:
- Monitors critical network elements and applications using various network monitoring systems in a 7x24x365 Joint Network Operations Center (JNCC).
- Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains telecommunications networks in the NOC environment.
- Uses computerized network management systems to check for system alarms when parts of the network are not working properly and may jeopardize the level of communication services available to customers.
- Follows procedures to validate, troubleshoot, and escalate issues. In this early career position you will work 12 hour shifts in the USFK Joint NETOPS Control Center (JNCC).
Requirements
- Bachelors degree or will accept 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- Must possess a demonstrated ability to work unsupervised in a shift work environment
- Ability to utilize a comprehensive understanding of all strategic and tactical communications to report critical outages to peer organizations and higher.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills for developing General Officer briefing on network outages
- US citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain Invited Contractor status under the ROK/US Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA).
- An active Secret clearance

This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
