Job description
SAIC is looking for a Database Engineer to support the Electronic Warfare Data Systems (EWDS) program for the Airborne Electronic Attack Integrated Product Team (AEA IPT) located at NAWC Point Mugu, California.

What You'll Do:
As a Database Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring data integrity, automating processes, and modernizing legacy systems. You'll:
- Leverage SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), Visual Studio, and Azure DevOps daily.
- Write complex, dynamic SQL queries for sophisticated relational databases.
- Design, develop, test, and debug advanced software applications.
- Create backups, restore data, and implement solutions to prevent data loss.
- Develop stored procedures to streamline manual processes for the team.
- Modernize technical debt by developing innovative database solutions for outdated processes.
Requirements
- A relevant bachelor's degree and five (5) years or more of experience; additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- SQL experience is required.
- Experience with C# and C++ programming languages.
- Working knowledge of Visual Basic and Microsoft Access.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Agile project management principles (e.g., sprints and user stories).
- A basic understanding of Electronic Warfare (EW) and Airborne Electronic Attack (AEA) missions is preferred but not required.
Clearance Requirement:
- Active Interim Secret security clearance is required to begin work.
