Job description

  • Collaborate with the QA Lead and development teams to define, plan, and execute comprehensive testing strategies for internal applications and systems.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard practices to ensure efficient regression and functional testing coverage.
  • Execute and monitor automated test runs, analyze results, report defects, and drive resolution with the development team.
  • Perform exploratory, manual, and ad-hoc testing to uncover edge cases, usability issues, and non-functional defects that automated suites may miss.
  • Create, update, and manage test cases, test plans, and test data within Xray for Jira.
  • Log, track, and verify defects using Jira, ensuring clear reproduction steps, severity/priority assessment, and timely closure.
  • Document testing processes, results, and knowledge articles in Confluence for team reference and audit purposes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, test automation frameworks, and overall product quality.
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies as required.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on QA experience, with at least 3 years in a Senior QA or equivalent role.
  • Strong expertise in test automation - proven ability to build, maintain, and scale automated test suites (experience with tools such as Selenium, Appium, Cypress, Playwright, Robot Framework, or similar is highly desirable).
  • Solid understanding of test automation frameworks, CI/CD integration (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps), and best practices for reliable, maintainable automation.
  • Proficient in manual testing techniques, including exploratory testing, risk-based testing, and non-functional testing (performance, security basics).
  • Advanced working knowledge of Jira and Xray for Jira (test case management, test execution cycles, traceability reports).
  • Experience working with Confluence for documentation and knowledge sharing.
  • Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work independently while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English.
  • Ability to work on-site in Abu Dhabi with no remote option.
  • Experience in regulated or high-security environments is a plus.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with API testing (Postman, REST-assured, etc.).
  • Familiarity with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow).
  • Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and branching strategies.
  • Previous exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
