Software iOS Engineer

PayPal is seeking for an accomplished and passionate iOS Mobile Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely and collaboratively with cross functional teams during all phases of the software development lifecycle, and must have familiarity with Agile methodologies, test automation and release engineering. • Follows well-established internal conventions and standard procedures
• Understands internal standards & processes an applies them to make technical decisions
• Collaborates with peers, manager, and project lead to gain understanding of tasks and review solutions
• May contribute to code & design reviews, * Utilize skills in native mobile development to build great mobile applications
• Participate in architecture and design discussions, code reviews, and project related team activities
• Work with other engineers, architects, product management, QA and operations teams to develop innovative solutions
• Understand and meet business needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, and adherence to development principles and product goal
• Develop functional test automation
• Develop mobile application prototypes
• Iterate with our UX team in an Agile environment to bring features from conception to launch, The base pay for this role will depend on where you work and the relevant experience and expertise you bring. The expected range of pay for this role by location is

• 1+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience., * Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience, or a Master's degree with at least 1 year of relevant experience

• At least 1 year of hands-on iOS development experience

• Strong understanding of multithreaded and asynchronous programming concepts

• Proven experience integrating RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs

• Experience designing and developing iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI

• Solid understanding of iOS architectural patterns, including MVVM or MVI

Work Permit and Relocation Prerequisites: Must already possess valid authorization to work in the country where the position is advertised/located. Relocation support will not be provided for this role.

San Jose, California | ($116,500.00 - $173,250.00 Annually)

Additional compensation for this role may include an annual performance bonus, equity, or other incentive compensation, as applicable.
