Job description

NOCO is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking IT Infrastructure Administrator who has extensive experience in Windows Server, virtualization, Microsoft Azure IaaS, networking fundaments, backup and disaster recovery, along with a strong security mindset. This role is responsible for the administration, reliability, security, and performance of on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure supporting all functional areas of NOCO operations. What You Will Do

  • Administer, monitor, and optimize on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure, including Windows and Linux servers.
  • Manage and support virtualization platforms (VMware and/or Hyper-V).
  • Design, deploy, and maintain Microsoft Azure IaaS solutions, including virtual networks, virtual machines, storage, and security controls.
  • Support hybrid identity and access solutions, including Active Directory, Azure AD, and Group Policy.
  • Perform system provisioning, patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
  • Maintain and test backup, restore, and disaster recovery solutions for servers and critical systems.
  • Monitor system health, capacity, and performance to ensure uptime and scalability.
  • Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning.
  • Implement and maintain infrastructure security best practices, including Server hardening, Patch management, Access controls, Vulnerability remediation
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity and compliance teams to support audits, risk assessments, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure infrastructure aligns with company security policies and industry standards.
  • Support core networking services including DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewall integrations (in partnership with network/security teams).
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues across on-premise and cloud environments.
  • Create and maintain accurate technical documentation, runbooks, and system diagrams.
  • Evaluate and recommend infrastructure improvements, new technologies, and cost-optimization opportunities.
  • Assist with infrastructure-related projects, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
  • Serve as an escalation point for the IT Service Desk Team.
  • Coordinate with vendors and managed service providers as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of seven (7) years' experience in Information Technology of which five (5) years' experience supporting hybrid cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 infrastructure components.
  • Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals (firewalls, routing, VPNs)
  • Experience with infrastructure automation and scripting (PowerShell)
  • Exposure to compliance-driven environments
  • Certifications (preferred) Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, VMware VCP, Microsoft Windows Server or Security-related certifications.
  • Strong technical depth with practical, hands-on execution.
