Job description
We are looking for a skilled PC Technician to join our team in Neptune, New Jersey. This position involves supporting and maintaining IT systems, including Windows Servers, Exchange environments, and Active Directory, while ensuring the infrastructure operates seamlessly. As this is a long-term contract role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the team's ongoing success by implementing and maintaining critical technologies. Responsibilities:
- Administer daily operations and maintenance tasks for IT systems and infrastructure.
- Collaborate in the design, configuration, and deployment of messaging technologies.
- Provide operational support for Windows Server 2016, Exchange, and Active Directory environments.
- Implement and integrate new technologies to enhance system performance and reliability.
- Conduct patching, upgrades, and pilot testing to ensure smooth deployment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues while actively participating in problem management processes.
- Manage backups and ensure the reliability of backup systems for Exchange.
- Utilize PowerShell to streamline Exchange administration and reporting tasks.
- Support various access methods and protocols, ensuring secure communication.
- Work with Linux MTAs and MySQL for gateway and antispam solutions.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing Microsoft Windows Server and Exchange environments.
- Proficiency in administering Exchange 2010/2016/Exchange Online and Office 365.
- Strong ability to utilize PowerShell for Exchange management and automation.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Windows Active Directory and clustering technologies.
- Experience managing backups and backup systems, particularly for Exchange.
- Familiarity with access methods such as Outlook Anywhere and other secure protocols.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft tools, including Graph API and Exchange Web Services.
- General knowledge of Linux MTAs and MySQL for infrastructure support.
