We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Sr. Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development of our mobile applications. As part of the Mobile Engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality systems and solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our technology infrastructure is robust, scalable, and aligned with the company's objectives. Responsibilities:
- Contribute directly to mobile backend codebases working on non-trivial tasks (such as foundational work, implementing changes to shift left, larger features, larger refactoring tasks, etc)
- Establish, document, and champion engineering standards and best practices for mobile backend development, ensuring consistency, maintainability, and alignment with broader organizational goals
- Lead code reviews with a focus on quality, mentorship, and continuous improvement, providing thoughtful, actionable feedback that elevates the codebase and fosters team growth
- Provide technical direction to teammates regarding implementation approach and guide teammates when they have questions about their work or tickets
- Work with Solutions Architect and mobile team leads to learn about new requirements, create corresponding tickets to represent necessary spikes and stories, and guide backend team through GraphQL Schema Design changes and implementation
- Own and support production deployments in addition to working closely with the Cloud Infra team when changes to infrastructure are needed., At Foot Locker, we value innovation, authenticity, and integrity in all that we do. Requirements
- Expert-level proficiency in Java, Gradle, Spring Boot, GraphQL API design and implementation with a strong track record of building robust, scalable backend systems
- Prior experience designing and implementing experience layers is strongly preferred
- Proven expertise in designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform
- Exceptional verbal / written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Mentorship experience guiding junior, mid-level, and senior engineers, conducting code reviews, and fostering a culture of engineering excellence
- Comfortable working with Markdown for documentation and technical communication, * Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or closely related field and 6 years of related work experience.

$90,000 - $135,000 a year

This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
