Desktop Support Refresh Technician (Contract)

We are seeking a Desktop Support Refresh Technician to support our 2026 Technical Refresh project, focused on replacing aging PCs to improve system reliability, security, and operational efficiency. This role will manage the hands-on technical work of imaging, deploying, and decommissioning PCs and laptops at our Niles and Elkhart facilities. This is a temporary position., * Image, configure, and deploy PCs and laptops using standardized procedures

• Decommission legacy hardware following IT asset management guidelines
• Install and configure software according to documented instructions
• Coordinate device replacement schedules with end users
• Maintain accurate documentation and update asset records
• Provide professional, customer-focused support throughout the refresh process
• Work independently while collaborating with the IT team as needed

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and able to work independently while following established IT processes., Required:

• CompTIA A+ certification (minimum)

Preferred:

• Experience with ServiceNow or similar IT ticketing systems
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to follow detailed technical instructions
• High attention to detail and strong organizational habits
• Ability to manage tasks from start to finish with minimal supervision
