- Install, configure, manage, and support business-class firewalls, including SonicWall, WatchGuard, Fortinet, and similar platforms.
- Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot wireless access points and wireless networks, including platforms such as Ruckus, Cambium, and similar solutions.
- Install, configure, and support managed switches, routing equipment, and core network infrastructure.
- Diagnose and resolve advanced networking issues related to DHCP, DNS, VLANs, routing, switching, VPNs, and security policies.
- Provide Level 2 support for Microsoft Windows desktop and laptop environments, including escalated troubleshooting for hardware, software, operating systems, and user performance issues.
- Troubleshoot and support Microsoft 365 applications and services, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and related business productivity tools.
- Support and troubleshoot line-of-business applications and enterprise platforms used across client environments.
- Perform Windows Server implementation, configuration, migration, administration, and ongoing management.
- Manage and support core Windows Server roles and services, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file services, print services, and Remote Desktop environments.
- Assist with server upgrades, patching, maintenance, performance tuning, and remediation of infrastructure issues.
- Support virtualization platforms and server-related systems as applicable within client environments.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot VPN connectivity, remote access solutions, and other secure connectivity platforms.
- Support implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity measures, including firewall policies, endpoint protection, access controls, and secure remote access.
- Install and troubleshoot IP camera systems and related network-connected physical security devices.
- Assist with workstation and server deployments, software rollouts, hardware replacements, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Monitor IT infrastructure health through RMM, ticketing, alerting, and asset management platforms, ensuring timely response and resolution.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, network diagrams, configuration records, passwords, asset details, and service notes.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with end users and client stakeholders regarding issue status, remediation steps, and recommendations.
- Travel to client sites as needed within approximately two hours of the office; no overnight travel expected.
- Escalate complex issues appropriately while also demonstrating ownership of assigned tickets, projects, and client outcomes.
Requirements
We are looking to bring on board a Level 2+ System Engineer with at least 2 years of direct, hands-on experience within the Managed Services Provider world, and at least 4 years of total relevant experience.
This Level 2 Engineer will be responsible for delivering advanced technical support, infrastructure deployment, and ongoing management for a variety of client environments. This role requires strong troubleshooting ability across endpoints, networks, firewalls, Microsoft 365, and Windows Server environments, along with the ability to work independently both remotely and onsite. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, technically strong, well-organized, and capable of handling escalated support issues while contributing to project implementation work., * Proven experience in an MSP or multi-client IT support environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems and standard business application support.
- Hands-on experience with Windows Server deployment, administration, and troubleshooting.
- Solid understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft network services.
- Experience with business-class firewall, switch, and wireless platforms.
- Strong understanding of LAN/WAN networking, VPNs, routing, switching, and network security fundamentals.
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in both reactive support and project-based work., * Firewall: 2 years (Required)
