Senior Software Engineer

You will lead a team of 4 to 6 developers on a daily basis and report to the Head of Technology. Direction and priorities are set by the organization. You translate these into technical execution: you propose solutions, think along about the best approach, and guide the team to deliver them. You coach your team members and support their growth. In addition, you actively contribute to development yourself - this is not a sidelines role.

What You Will Do

• Build applications using Python, Django, and FastAPI
• Lead the development team: priorities, progress, and quality
• Propose technical approaches and collaborate on architecture and implementation
• Design and optimize data models in PostgreSQL
• Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality
• Coach developers and support their growth
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions

Do you have experience in Team management?, * Extensive experience in software engineering, including leading a team

• Experience building and maintaining production applications, with a solid understanding of what it takes to run software 24/7
• Strong knowledge of Python, Django, and/or FastAPI
• Solid experience with PostgreSQL
• Experience with frontend technologies: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• A goal-oriented mindset rather than task-focused thinking
• Willingness to work on-site in Oud Gastel (4 days in the office, 1 day remote)
• Strong communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus

Nice to Have

• Experience with Docker, CI/CD, and AWS
• Experience with IoT or large-scale data platforms
