Job description

We are looking for a highly analytical and solutions-focused Solutions Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will work with large and complex data sets to design, model, and implement innovative logistics solutions that integrate seamlessly into our operational network. You will play a key role in transforming client requirements into scalable, efficient services across our hub, depot, and courier operations.

With a strong project management focus, you will support solutions from initial concept through to delivery - ensuring they are commercially viable, operationally effective, and aligned with business strategy.

What you'll be doing:

  • Analyse large data sets to design and model effective, scalable client solutions
  • Support the end-to-end delivery of new products and services, from concept through to implementation
  • Develop value stream maps and operational models to drive lean, efficient solutions
  • Collaborate with Operations, Planning, and Commercial teams to ensure successful delivery
  • Apply agile methodologies to implement new services and improvements across the network
  • Build and maintain reports and processes to support ongoing operational performance
  • Support planning activity, including routing, trunking, and collections, ensuring smooth integration into the network
  • Monitor performance of implemented solutions, identifying improvements and optimisation opportunities
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, bringing innovative ideas into the business

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in Visio?, * Experience within logistics, transport, or supply chain operations, ideally in a solutions or analytical role

  • Proven experience managing or contributing to projects, delivering measurable outcomes and ROI
  • Strong data analysis, modelling, and costing skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel essential; Visio and Project desirable)
  • Experience designing and implementing operational or client-focused solutions
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate it into practical solutions
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with experience identifying root causes and implementing improvements
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Full UK driving licence with flexibility to travel
