Job description

You will serve as the senior Agile leader supporting multiple software development teams delivering new product programs for a sophisticated medical device manufacturer focused on ophthalmic, surgical, and vision care solutions. Reporting to the Software Lead, you will drive Agile excellence, facilitate ceremonies, remove impediments, and ensure high-velocity, compliant delivery in a fast-paced, FDA-regulated setting where quality, documentation, and regulatory standards are non-negotiable., * Serve as Scrum Master for multiple Agile teams, ensuring adherence to Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe principles in a regulated medical device software development environment.

  • Facilitate all Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog refinement, etc.).
  • Coordinate effectively across global/distributed team members across different time zones.
  • Identify and remove impediments; escalate issues proactively to drive results while maintaining strict regulatory compliance.
  • Track and report team metrics, sprint progress, and project health using Microsoft Project and other tools.
  • Coach team members, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Agile practices and continuous improvement within a medical device quality system.
  • Manage cross-functional dependencies and support backlog prioritization.
  • Ensure all activities align with medical device industry standards, documentation practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and high performance in a compliance-driven environment.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Regulatory compliance?, AccelerateRPM is seeking a senior-level Scrum Master with deep experience in a highly regulated global medical device environment to embed full-time onsite in Lake Forest, CA. This is not a hybrid or remote role - candidates must be local to Southern California and able to work 5 days per week in the Lake Forest office., * 6+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach specifically within the medical device or life sciences industry.

  • Proven success managing multiple Agile teams simultaneously in a regulated medical device software development environment.
  • Strong experience working with distributed/global teams across time zones in a sophisticated medical device manufacturer setting.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) required; SAFe certifications (SSM, SASM) or PMI-ACP strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on proficiency with Microsoft Project for planning, tracking, and reporting.
  • Experience with Agile tools: Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps (or similar).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • Must be local to Southern California and able to work fully onsite 5 days per week in Lake Forest, CA (no exceptions).
  • Demonstrated background in software development or technical project management for regulated medical products (FDA compliance, quality systems, documentation standards).
  • Familiarity with medical device regulatory landscapes including documentation practices and compliance protocols., Important Note: This role is filled through AccelerateRPM, LLC.
