Job description
These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive, and other duties may be assigned by your leader.
- Develop, document and evaluate manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, parts fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, lean manufacturing and quality control standards
- Calculate production TAKT times, staffing requirements, tooling, equipment and other related costs to assist management with planning and executing projects in a timely manner
- Support more senior engineers in the preparation of production facilities, design improvements, work instruction development, issue resolution and status reporting
- Responsible for leading a small projects and/or participating in larger projects as a team
- Provide technical support and direction as the lead point of contact on assigned projects
- Collaborate with other engineering or business support disciplines both internally and externally
- Create and develop quality inspection documents, to include critical safety checks identified in PFMEA's, to ensure the highest level of quality and safety in our products
- Determine and propose process improvements to meet production schedule changes/priorities, utilizing lean/six sigma principles and methodologies
- Responsible for assisting with the creation and maintenance of departmental processes & procedures
- Ability to obtain a CAC (Common Access Card) and/or Secret level security clearance
- Ability to travel up to 25% a year (3 months, not consecutive)
Requirements
Do you have experience in Tooling?, * Bachelor's degree in Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering or related field
- One (1) - two (2) or more years of experience preferred but not required, * Analytical, critical thinking, high attention to detail, effective communicator and patterning skills to evaluate data and provide recommendations
- Experience within the heavy equipment manufacturing industry or automobile industry
- Experience with application of Lean and/or Six Sigma tools
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; with a strong emphasis on Word & Excel
- Prior experience with CATIA, CreoView, AutoCAD and/or Windchill

In the office setting, tasks may require extended computer use, sitting, and attending meetings.

Field or floor work may involve walking across various terrains or shop floors, standing, moderate lifting (up to 50 pounds), climbing stairs, and exposure to varying temperatures or noise levels.

Pay Range: $73,200.00 - $117,800.00
The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
