Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior IT Technician. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for delivering advanced technical support, managing complex IT infrastructure, and ensuring seamless operation of hardware, software, and network systems. Your expertise will help optimize our technological environment, troubleshoot issues efficiently, and support end-users across various platforms. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead critical IT initiatives and contribute to the ongoing success of our organization's digital landscape., * Provide expert-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues across Windows operating systems.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems related to computer hardware, operating systems, and software applications such as Microsoft 365, Sage Software, Trimble Design & Modeling, HCCC Heavy Bid and Heavy Job, E360 as well as a various other software tools.
  • Manage computer management tasks including deploying updates via SCCM, configuring Group Policy Objects (GPO), and maintaining Active Directory environments.
  • Oversee network administration activities involving LAN, TCP/IP protocols, DNS configuration, VPN setup, firewall management (including Meraki), and troubleshooting TCP connections.
  • Support IT infrastructure components such as servers (Windows Server), storage solutions, mobile devices, and network devices like switches and routers.
  • Conduct analysis of system logs and performance metrics to identify potential issues proactively; implement solutions to enhance system stability.
  • Assist in the deployment and maintenance of security measures including firewall rules, VPN access controls, and network security policies to safeguard organizational data.
  • Collaborate with help desk teams to escalate complex issues efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
  • Lead efforts in network upgrades or expansions involving Meraki equipment or other networking hardware; ensure minimal disruption during implementation.

Requirements

Do you have experience in IT department experience?, * Proven experience working as an IT support technician or in a similar senior technical role within a fast-paced environment.

  • Extensive knowledge of computer hardware components, operating systems, and enterprise software troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN design, TCP/IP protocols, DNS management, VPN configuration, firewall setup (including Meraki), and network security best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory administration, Group Policy management (GPO), SCCM deployment strategies, and Windows Server environments.
  • Excellent analysis skills with the ability to diagnose complex technical problems quickly and accurately.
  • Effective communication skills to translate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders; committed to providing exceptional customer service.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Fundamentals or equivalent are preferred but not mandatory.
