Job description
Celeris Systems, Inc (Celeris) is seeking a Data Analyst to support the Positioning, Navigation, and Timing Systems Engineering and Integration (PNT SE&I) team supporting the U.S. Space Force. PNT SE&I provides engineering, integration, technical analysis, and subject matter expertise (SME) support to the US Space Force. The PNT SE&I team works in a high-paced environment with Government personnel and system developers to ensure GPS remains the gold standard for positioning, navigation, and timing., * Clean, preprocess, standardize, normalize, and enrich datasets to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Identify and address missing data, outliers, inaccuracies, and inconsistencies across large datasets.
- Integrate data from multiple sources using querying, transformation, and data workflow techniques.
- Develop and optimize data joins, pipelines, and repeatable analysis processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather technical requirements and translate objectives into measurable data analysis criteria.
- Develop documentation describing analytical requirements, methodologies, assessment criteria, and analysis frameworks.
- Perform exploratory and descriptive data analysis to identify trends, patterns, discrepancies, correlations, and potential root causes.
- Generate reports, dashboards, charts, visualizations, and data narratives for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Present data-driven findings and recommendations to team leads, government customers, and executive stakeholders.
- Support cross-functional SE&I teams in a fast-paced PNT/GPS mission environment.
Requirements
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working with complex technical datasets. This role will support data collection, cleaning, transformation, integration, analysis, visualization, and reporting to help assess requirement criteria, identify trends, support root-cause analysis, and provide actionable insights to team leaders and government customers., * Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of data analysis experience.
- Active Secret clearance.
- Proficiency with Python, R, SQL, or similar tools for data manipulation and analysis.
- Experience with data visualization tools and dashboard development.
- Familiarity with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar data storage systems.
- Understanding of data cleaning, transformation, and ETL processes.
- Experience integrating or merging datasets from multiple sources.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain data-driven insights to technical and non-technical audiences.
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree.
- GPS, PNT, space systems, or DoD SE&I experience.
- Strong Python coding experience.
- Knowledge of MBSE or software engineering systems.
- Agile execution methods and tools experience.
- Experience with statistical concepts such as regression analysis, hypothesis testing, trend analysis, or correlation analysis.
- Experience writing clear data documentation, analytical reports, or technical summaries.
- Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Location: El Segundo, CA This position requires on-site support and the ability to maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
