Lab Assistant ETL - DCSE

This position will require the ability to lift at least 50 lbs. (22.7kg) and work under a variety of conditions (hot/humid, cold/damp, lab, manual labor) and involve disassembly, move and reassembly of electronics, virtual reality, industrial assembly, PLC, prototyping and computer lab components, as well as facilities upkeep tasks such as painting and general maintenance.

Performs tasks which require minimal training and that can be learned relatively easily and involve few decisions. Positions are typically clerical or non-technical in nature and may involve basic computer usage., This position will require the ability to lift at least 50 lbs. (22.7kg) and work under a variety of conditions (hot/humid, cold/damp, lab, manual labor) and involve disassembly, move and reassembly of electronics, virtual reality, industrial assembly, PLC, prototyping and computer lab components, as well as facilities upkeep tasks such as painting and general maintenance.

Duties and responsibilities will typically involve repetitious tasks such as making copies, filing, picking up and sorting mail, answering telephones, running errands, etc. This position will require limited contact with internal and external customers. • Must be a current MSU student
• Must maintain satisfactory academic progress
• Must feel comfortable using nominal judgment and possess basic analytical or decision-making skills
• Must have the ability to understand and to follow written and verbal instructions
