Job description

Being a member of IT FinSight Delivery team, the Lead Test Engineer role is part of The Integration Validation Testing Team ("IVT") family, which is responsible for ensuring that all applications and systems meet defined quality standards and covering End to End scenarios across upstream & downstream systems. This role is responsible for ensuring that all applications, system products, projects, and solutions meet defined enterprise quality standards. Provide centralized, independent quality assurance services across the firm, including functional and non-functional testing for all products, services, and applications across businesses. Design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions, providing testing expertise, oversight, and direction to ensure the functionality of solutions and that design specifications are met.

Lead Test Engineer will be responsible for developing test plans and implementing those plans against the corresponding test procedures. He should also be accountable for the development of automation scripts in Selenium java and writing SQL queries

Your Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, maintain, and execute test cases based on user stories; present results and track defects to closure
  • Prepare, maintain, and execute automated test scripts
  • Maintain traceability from business requirements through test cases to automated scripts
  • Review test cases / automation approach with stakeholder to ensure comprehensive coverage and acquire feedback
  • Track test execution breakthroughs, report on issues and risks with the potential to affect project timelines
  • Construct appropriate end-2-end business scenarios through the application of a broad understanding of business objectives and goals
  • Collaborate with delivery pipeline teams to drive adoption and resolve open issues.
  • Identify dependencies for environmental and data requirements; manage and maintain environment and data.
  • Provide mentorship to colleagues related to test coverage and test cases
  • Develop a detailed understanding of the product being delivered
  • Responsible for process compliance & associated documentation
  • Aligns risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to supervise and mitigate risk; calls out appropriately

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience

Talents Needed for Success:

  • Experience in Selenium Java with good hands on experience
  • Extensive experience with testing modern scripting language-based components.
  • Experience in writing sophisticated SQL queries.
  • Experience with JIRA, Microfocus ALM, Bitbucket, Git, and Jenkins
  • Experienced in Agile/Waterfall, onsite/offshore work model and coordination
  • In depth knowledge of the software implementation lifecycle (specifically the testing model, methodology, and processes),
  • Experience with front-end & backend testing using Java and Selenium.
  • Experience with JIRA, Microfocus ALM, Bitbucket, Git, and Jenkins
  • Detailed understanding of smoke testing, black-box, and non-black box testing, as well as regression testing
  • Requires the ability to work well with both business clients and technical team and the ability to work independently, both individually and as part of a team.
  • Preferably from Capital Market domain
