Job description
LMCU is looking for a Network Administrator III who will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and administration of the organization's production voice, video, and data network infrastructure. This includes LAN, WAN, VLAN, WLAN, wireless bridging, VoIP, QoS, firewall, telephony systems, telecommunications, DR connectivity, and network security systems. The individual in this position will work closely with members of the IT staff to ensure very high levels of network availability, security and efficiency with 99.9% uptime for LMCU systems.
What You'll Do:
- Installs, configures, and maintains LANs and WANs, physical and virtual servers, UPS, network cabling, and Ethernet networks allowing for optimal operation
- Performs network address assignment
- Performs Cisco hardware upgrades and maintenance
- Configures Cisco switches, routers, firewalls, and access points
- Assigns routing protocols and routing table configuration
- Designs WAN and LAN infrastructure layouts
- Designs and configures network security (perimeter and edge firewalls)
- Assists in developing system strategies and policies
- Monitors and maintains firewalls and intrusion detection systems
- Manage Cisco VoIP phone system
- Designs and implements IP telephony solutions
- Performs as backup and high-level resource for Desktop Support Technicians
- Implements network and infrastructure related projects
- Assist with on-call for network outages
- Configures and manages network monitoring tools
- Addresses end-user help requests as necessary through ticketing systems
- Trouble-shoots higher-level errors and issues
Requirements
Do you have experience in Wireless networking?, * Five or more years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
- Experience with the following is highly preferred:
- Vendor (Cisco, F5), Layer 2 and 3, BGP, load balancing traffic and engineering for automatic failover, multiple methods for equal-cost load balancing, routing policy to manipulate BGP attributes, and flow analysis.
- Microsoft Windows Server, MS Exchange, and Active Directory/GPO operations including hardening strategies and techniques.
- Firewalls, VPN,SSL remote access, LAN/WLAN configuration and maintenance.
- Writing and using scripting tools for automated deployment of system changes and software applications.
- Organizing and/or managing projects and producing documentation for all staff levels including non-technical staff.
