Job description
Capulet Care are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT & Governance Administrator Assistant to support our organisation's IT infrastructure and governance processes. The IT & Governance Administrative Assistant plays a key role in supporting the smooth running of digital & governance systems within a care company. This includes helping staff with everyday IT issues, maintaining resident data systems, and assisting with data analysis to improve care quality, compliance, and operational efficiency, as well as assisting the senior management team. The role bridges technology and care, ensuring staff can focus on delivering safe and effective resident care. Also, general admin duties required and support the senior management team.
The role will require moving between homes within the group, so the candidate will need to be able to drive and have access to a vehicle.
Hours will be 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. Pay will be discussed at interview., Day-to-Day IT Support
- Provide first-line IT support to nurses, carers, and administrative staff
- Help with login issues, password resets, and access to care systems
- Troubleshoot basic hardware issues (computers, printers, tablets used for care records)
- Support staff in using digital care planning systems
Administrative & Systems Support
- Maintain accurate records of IT equipment and user accounts
- Assist with onboarding new staff (setting up system access, emails, devices)
- Keep IT policies, procedures, and documentation up to date
- Liaise with external IT providers when issues need escalation
- Assist with administrative tasks: Support administrative tasks such as data entry, photocopying, scanning, and filing and support the senior management team.
Resident Data & Care Systems
- Support the use of electronic care records (ECR systems)
- Ensure resident information is entered accurately and updated regularly
- Help staff navigate systems used for medication, care plans, and incident reporting
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Extract and analyse data related to:
- Resident care (falls, incidents, medication errors)
- Staffing and rota trends
- Compliance and audit results
- Produce simple reports and dashboards for the Home Manager
- Identify patterns that may help improve care quality and safety
Compliance & Data Protection
- Ensure all systems and data handling follow GDPR and care sector standards
- Support data audits and inspections (e.g., for Care Quality Commission)
- Promote good data security practices among staff
- Assist with the completion of data security protection toolkit
Requirements
Do you have experience in Software troubleshooting?, * Diploma or degree in IT, Business Administration, Health Informatics, or related field
- Experience in an IT support, admin, or data-related role
- Experience in a care home or healthcare setting is desirable
Key Skills & Competencies:
IT Skills
- Confident using Microsoft Office (especially Excel for tracking and reports)
- Good knowledge of IT troubleshooting (hardware/software issues)
- Familiarity with care home software systems
Data Analysis
- Ability to organise and analyse care-related data
- Comfortable creating reports for non-technical staff
- Attention to detail when handling sensitive resident information
People Skills
- Patient and approachable when supporting staff with varying IT skills
- Able to explain technical issues in simple terms
- Strong teamwork with nurses, carers, and management
Desirable:
- Experience with electronic care planning systems (Access, Nourish, PCS, CareSys)
- Basic understanding of safeguarding and clinical terminology
- Knowledge of care home compliance and reporting requirements
