Job description
The primary duties encompass visiting client locations to set up and evaluate products, offering guidance on how to use these products, diagnosing and repairing systems through remote access, and performing regular upkeep. As a Field Based Engineer, the individual will also play a role in developing new systems, carrying out surveys, and delivering support before and after-sales. Moreover, the role demands providing on-call assistance, both virtually and in person, according to a rotating schedule.
Requirements
Do you have experience in VoIP?, · HNC or higher in Telecoms or IT, with specific courses in VOIP, networking, or other telecoms being advantageous.
· Experience in field-based communications/IT installations is preferable but not essential.
· Proficient in using Windows and Linux OS, Telecoms PABX, and understanding of Protocols (e.g., Remote Desktop, Firewalls).
· Excellent communication skills, capable of effective interaction with customers, engineers, and support staff.
· Strong problem-solving ability and the capacity to consider alternative solutions.
· Ability to work under pressure, demonstrate leadership potential, and work independently.
· Outstanding organizational skills, capable of producing high-level reports for undertaken works.
· Self-motivated team player with a keen interest in technology and its transformative impact.
