The role focuses on delivering independent technical oversight and advisory across the full system lifecycle-from early design through launch and initial operations. You will evaluate contractor designs, validate system performance, and ensure mission requirements are met through rigorous systems engineering practices. Acting as a critical bridge between government leadership and industry partners, you will support design reviews, integration and test efforts, mission performance analysis, and risk management activities. The position requires deep technical expertise in space-based radar systems and the ability to influence program decisions through data-driven insights and clear communication., Directly contributes to a high-priority national security mission involving advanced space-based radar capabilities Influences critical program decisions through independent technical expertise Enables mission success from concept through on-orbit operations Supports the delivery of next-generation ISR capability with real operational impact

Requirements
Systems Engineering across full lifecycle (requirements * design * integration * test * operations) Space-based ISR systems (AMTI, radar, RF payloads) Radar system design & signal processing RF payload development, integration, and production testing Performance modeling & estimation (detection, tracking, coverage) Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using SysML tools (e.g., Cameo/MagicDraw), Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in aerospace, electrical engineering, physics, or related field preferred Prior SETA or government advisory experience Familiarity with DoD/IC acquisition frameworks (JCIDS, DoD 5000) Experience working with prime contractors and subcontractors Background in satellite/payload engineering and communications architectures Experience with crypto integration, multi-sensor fusion, and data processing systems Participation in integration & test campaigns, launch readiness, and early orbit operations Proficiency with engineering and collaboration tools:
Cameo/MagicDraw Tableau Jira, Confluence, DOORS Python, MATLAB
