Job description
- Provide desk-side support and PC break/fix services
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and operating system issues
- Install, configure, and support desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals
- Perform desktop imaging and application installation
- Provide smart hands support for IT and networking equipment
- Troubleshoot network connectivity and cabling issues
- Support LAN/WAN environments and basic networking tasks
- Manage and resolve incidents using ticketing tools (ServiceNow / Remedy)
- Perform root cause analysis and problem management
- Ensure timely resolution of issues while meeting SLA requirements
Requirements
Do you have experience in Software installation?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, We are seeking an experienced IT Desktop Support Technician to provide onsite IT infrastructure and end-user support. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in hardware/software troubleshooting, desk-side support, and network fundamentals, along with excellent customer service skills., * Minimum 3+ years of IT infrastructure field support experience
- Strong knowledge of:
- TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, RDP
- Windows OS (Mac/Linux preferred)
- Experience with:
- Desktop imaging and application support
- Printer and peripheral troubleshooting
- Network devices (routers, switches, firewalls)
- Ability to handle hardware installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Experience with end-user network cabling issues
Smart Hands Support
- Hands-on support for:
- Monitors, keyboards, mice
- Printers, scanners, fax machines
- Routers, switches, firewalls
- Racks, cabinets, and patch panels, * Associate Degree in Electronics or related field
- CompTIA A+ Certification (preferred)
- Vendor certifications (Dell, Lenovo, etc.) are a plus
Non-Technical Skills
- Strong communication and customer handling skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Proactive, result-oriented mindset
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, * Ability to lift/move equipment up to 50 lbs
