Job description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Specialist to join our team. The IT Specialist will be responsible for maintaining computer systems, troubleshooting technical issues, supporting employees with hardware and software needs, and ensuring the overall security and efficiency of the District's technology infrastructure. This role requires strong problem-solving abilities, technical expertise, and excellent communication skills. You must have at least CompTIA A+ upon application. Please attach your CompTIA A+ certification with your resume., * Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, printers, and network systems
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for employees and end users
- Monitor system performance and ensure network security and data protection
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls
- Perform routine system updates, backups, and maintenance
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Assist with onboarding and setup for new employees
Requirements
Do you have experience in Multitasking?, * Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and data protection practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, and Wi-Fi
The starting pay will be based on qualifications:
- Probationary IT Specialist - $68,250/year. Must have at least CompTIA A+ upon application.
- IT Specialist I - $75,600/year. Two years of acceptable experience, Certification through Microsoft on the Fundamentals of Microsoft 365, and CompTIA a+ Network certification.
- IT Specialist II - $82,950/year. Four years of acceptable experience, Certification through Microsoft on the Fundamentals of Azure, and CompTIA a+ Security certification or equivalent IT cyber security certification.
- IT Specialist III - $90,300/year. Six years of acceptable experience, Certification through Microsoft as a Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert, and CompTIA a+ Security certification or equivalent IT cloud administrator.
