That's why we need a Smart Factory Engineer (IT/OT) like you. Mission Lead the integration of IT/OT data and systems within industrial environments, ensuring data standardization, traceability, and consistency across the digital manufacturing architecture. The role combines hands-on technical support in platforms like MES with cross-functional coordination between IT, engineering, and business, acting as a hybrid technical-functional profile focused on project delivery and continuous improvement. What your responsibilities will be
- Data standards & naming governance - Define, enforce and maintain naming conventions and data standards for engineering documentation across disciplines (automation, civil, mechanical, electrical), aligned with ISA-88 and ISA-95 hierarchies
- Centralized data platform support - Implement and support centralized data management platforms for engineering and operational software tools (MES, EBR, SCADA/DCS, Data Broker, UNS/MQTT Sparkplug B), ensuring traceability and consistency across the ISA-95 stack.
- Cross-functional IT/OT collaboration - Collaborate closely with automation, mechanical, electrical, civil engineering teams and IT to ensure model consistency, data integrity, and alignment between plant-floor systems and business-layer applications
- MES/EBR project support - Provide technical support to EBR/MES implementation programs, including data mapping, integration design, and validation documentation
- IT/OT integration & industrial platforms - Support integration of industrial systems (PLC/DCS/SCADA) with L3/L4 platforms (MES, Data Lake, ERP), contributing to Edge ingestion architecture and Industrial Data Broker design., It is a brilliant opportunity for you, Grifols is fully aware that its employees are one of its major assets. Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Hands-on experience of 4 years in industrial IT/OT environments: SCADA/DCS, PLC, MES, EBR, or related digital manufacturing platforms.
- Understanding of data broker and UNS architectures (MQTT Sparkplug B, Ignition, Kafka/REST) is a plus.
- You have knowledge of digital twin concepts.
- Experience in GxP-regulated environments (21 CFR Part 11, EU Annex 11, GAMP 5) is a plus.
- You have a high level of English (equivalent to C1 - Advanced).
- Strong communication skills; ability to work across multidisciplinary teams (automation, IT, operations, QA).
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a dynamic international program environment.
