Job description

Are you experienced in industrial sensing and machine vision, and do you enjoy working from concept through validation? Would you like to play a key role in the development of next generation conveyance solutions? Join Intralox as a Sensing and Vision Engineer and help bring innovative vision and sensing technologies into practical industrial applications. What keeps you moving Our R&D team in Eindhoven works at the intersection of mechatronics, software, controls, and system design. We focus on developing next generation conveyance solutions that combine mechanical innovation with intelligent sensing and data driven decision making. As a Sensing and Vision Engineer, you will drive the sensing and vision aspects of new machine concepts. You will be responsible end to end, from defining sensing strategies and architectures to prototyping, testing, and validating solutions that turn sensor data into actionable information for our equipment.

In this role, you will work closely with colleagues from mechatronics, software, controls, and test engineering to ensure sensing and vision solutions are robust, scalable, and well-integrated into our broader machine platforms. What you'll be doing:

  • Define and own the sensing and vision strategy for new machine concepts, translating information needs into robust sensing architectures;
  • Develop and optimize signal/image processing and computer vision algorithms, using both classical and machine learning / deep learning approaches;
  • Evaluate, benchmark, and select sensing technologies, balancing performance, reliability, and industrial applicability;
  • Lead vision and sensing projects end to end, from concept and prototyping through testing, validation, and industrialization;
  • Collaborate closely across disciplines to integrate sensing solutions, communicate trade offs, and support others with vision expertise.

Requirements

  • Master's or PhD in a relevant field such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mechatronics, or Applied Mathematics;
  • 10+ years of experience in industrial vision, sensing, or imaging system development;
  • Proven track record in algorithm development, including classical computer vision and machine-learning / deep-learning approaches;
  • Programming proficiency in Python and/or C++; comfortable with MATLAB;
  • Strong conceptual thinker with sharp analytical skills and a structured approach to problem solving;
  • Self-managed attitude: able to independently lead project execution from concept through design, prototyping, and testing;
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, collaborative mindset.
