United States, Minnesota, Ramsey 7333 Sunwood Drive NW (Show on map) May 21, 2026 Primary DetailsTime Type: Full time Worker Type: Employee The Opportunity: This position is responsible for ensuring support and maintenance of infrastructure solutions and services as directed and according to QBE and divisional policy. You will be working on a team of infrastructure specialists and engineers to make sure services are delivered and supported as required. You will also work with and support third parties to provide infrastructure services. Location: California Work Arrangement: This role will be remote The salary range for this role is: $82,000 - $122,500 Your new role
- Maintain system security and integrity by consistently updating software and hardware versions through established patching and update procedures. This process will also incorporate ongoing vulnerability assessment and prompt remediation to address any identified weaknesses within the environment
- Partner with architecture to develop implementation and improvement plans by eliciting infrastructure requirements from key stakeholders and recommending solutions.
- Facilitate the translation of infrastructure needs into actionable processes by evaluating information gathered from multiple sources and defining user requirements for effective solutions.
- Assess, document and communicate impact of change to key partners by collaborating with stakeholders to develop requirements documentation.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and gather information to meet requests within area of responsibility.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance and efficiency.
- Support end-users by ensuring thorough understanding of user requirements and availability of relevant process documentation.
- Contribute to a positive work environment by demonstrating cultural expectations and influencing others to value performance and diversity.
- Support the implementation of infrastructure technologies and solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Preferred Experience
- 5 years of relevant experience
- Information Security - Awareness - Aware of information security and the security controls that can be used to mitigate security threats within solutions and services.
- IT Infrastructure - Practitioner - Builds and configures, administers and supports infrastructure technologies and solutions such as compute, storage, networking, physical infrastructure, software, commercial off the shelf (COTS) and open-source packages and solutions, virtual and cloud including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS.
- Ownership & Initiative - Working - Owns an issue until a new owner has been found or the problem has been mitigated and / or resolved.
- Problem Solving - Awareness - Able to investigate problems in systems, processes and services, with an understanding of the level of a problem (e.g. strategic, tactical, operational). Can contribute to the implementation of remedies and preventative measures.
- System Design - Working - Translates logical designs into physical designs. Produces detailed designs and documents all work using required standards, methods and tools, including prototyping tools where appropriate. Designs systems characterized by managed levels of risk, manageable business and technical complexity and meaningful impact. Works with well-understood technology and identifies appropriate patterns.
- Service Focus - Working - Takes input and establishes coherent frameworks that work.
- Technical Understanding - Working - Understands core technical concepts related to their role and can apply them with guidance.
- Troubleshooting & problem resolution - Working - Able to troubleshoot and identify problems across different technology capabilities. Preferred Licenses/Certifications
- Microsoft MCSE, VMware certification, PMP, EMP certification
Preferred Knowledge
- Working knowledge of Windows client and server operating systems; their implementation & management in an enterprise environment, along with troubleshooting skills
- Current knowledge of infrastructure tools and technologies including:
- VMware/ESXi
- Nutanix/AHG
- Ivanti Security Controls
- Veeam
- Secret Server /privileged access management
- Solarwinds
- PowerShell
- Working knowledge of Active Directory & associated technologies; implementation & management in an enterprise environment
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure, and Office 365 messaging & collaboration services; their implementation & management in an enterprise environment
- Working knowledge of Cyber Security principles & practices, with experience of working in regulated environment
- Working knowledge of ITIL service management principles & tools, and their use in an enterprise environment, This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
