- Triage and respond to manufacturing operations and end-user support for issues involving network connections, routes, firewall rules, etc.
- Responsible for responding to Network Security incidents with the IT Security team when needed.
- Perform routine configuration updates, backups, and firmware patches for switches and access points.
- Work collaboratively with all Meissner departments to perform various network deployments and test projects.
- Maintain networks and systems including software, VPNs, routers, and other network equipment, both virtual and physical.
- Cisco Telephony Systems administration.
- Install, update, upgrade, configure, and deploy networking equipment at all locations.
- Maintain and improve network performance utilizing new technology and/or improved configurations.
- Coordinate and communicate off-hours maintenance and upgrades with the IT Operations Leaders.
- Maintain and create accurate and easy-to-follow IT documentation for the environment.
- Performs in-place network infrastructure upgrades.
- Adhere to change management and security policies for routine tasks.
- Support the Company needs in all network-related (new sites, new connections, connection upgrades, etc.).
Requirements
Do you have experience in Computer science?, * Comp TIA or equivalent, Associate degree or equivalent in IT, Computer Science, or relevant field preferred or equivalent hand-on experience.
- 1 year of network support or help desk experience.
- Must be fluent with MS Office software and a working knowledge of a wide variety of software packages, operating systems, and equipment as well as cloud technologies.
- Strong knowledge and skill with Cisco appliances (switches, routers, firewalls, access points, etc.)
- Fluent in networking technologies and practices.
- Deep knowledge of the Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, etc.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange and SharePoint, IIS Web administration, SSL certificates, domain management, Microsoft Office applications, Printing technologies and connectivity.
- Knowledge and understanding of virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V), thin clients and RDP.
- Scripting languages such as PowerShell, VBScript, batch files, etc.
- Familiarity with Linux and other Operating systems.
- Cisco Certified Network Professional certification in Routing and Switching required. Certification in Data Center Preferred.
- Must have excellent English Language written and verbal communication skills with customer service orientation.
