Job description
- Author Non-Destructive Test (NDT) procedures
- Incorporate revisions from the Responsible Level III into standard procedure review processes
- Develop Computer-Assisted Drawings (CAD) for specialized calibration standards
- Set up non-destructive testing and measurement equipment to calibration standards
- Create detailed procedure figures, including:
- Inspection locations
- Geometry and accessibility
- Probe/transducer placement
- Notch signal response
- Identify and report adverse trends or anomalous results
- Support variable shifts, overtime, and occasional weekend work as needed
Requirements
Experienced Non-Destructive Test (NDT) Specialist with over 20 years of expertise in aerospace in-service support, specializing in ultrasonic testing (UT) and eddy current testing (ET). Proven ability to develop inspection procedures, support standardization processes, and ensure high-quality technical execution in non-managerial roles., * Advanced education (e.g., Associate degree) and/or equivalent professional experience
- Typically includes 20+ years of related work experience
Experience
- 20+ years in NDI/NDT (Non-Destructive Inspection/Testing)
- 20+ years supporting aerospace in-service operations
- Extensive experience with:
- Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
- Eddy Current Testing (ET)
- Demonstrated expertise in writing UT and ET techniques and inspection procedures
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to travel up to 15%, * 25+ years of related experience
- 800+ hours of Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
- 300+ hours of Ultrasonic Shear-Wave Testing
- 800+ hours of Eddy Current Testing (ET)
- Experience using CAD software
