Unlike traditional QA teams focused on functional validation of specific apps or features, the User Experience Quality team takes a fundamentally different approach-assessing the function and feel of end-to-end use cases that matter most in our customers' daily lives.
This role requires a technical leader who can pioneer AI-driven automation frameworks that assess the holistic experience of using Apple products-capturing not just what works, but what feels right. You'll build intelligent systems that complement and extend our expert manual testers, transforming their insights into scalable, repeatable quality signals, delivering a continuous pulse of user experience quality that directly influences executive decisions on product readiness, strategic priorities, and future quality investments.","responsibilities":"Design and develop AI-driven automation frameworks that evaluate end-to-end user experiences across Apple platforms, capturing both functional correctness and experiential quality
Architect and maintain scalable test infrastructure that delivers continuous quality signals to provide real-time insights on software readiness
Partner with manual UX testers to translate their expertise into automated test scenarios, as well as define and track metrics that quantify user experience quality across key use cases
Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies-including machine learning models, computer vision, and robotics-to continuously expand automation coverage and fidelity
Requirements
Do you have experience in macOS?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, Experience with AI-driven testing approaches or intelligent automation
Experience with robotics-driven testing approaches
Proficiency in Xcode, XCTest, and XCUIAutomation
Skill in manual software testing, with a focus on UI and UX
Experience with data analytics, telemetry systems, and presenting technical insights to diverse audiences
Minimum Qualifications
B.S. in Computer Science or 3-5+ years of equivalent automation experience with strong proficiency in modern scripting or compiled languages such as Python, Java, or Swift
Track record of driving development and deployment of testing tools and infrastructure at scale, with knowledge of the software development lifecycle and SQA methodologies
Ability to write, maintain, and execute comprehensive automation test plans, plus familiarity with Continuous Integration tools (e.g., Jenkins) and version control systems (e.g., GitHub)
Ability to analyze test failures, triage issues, and prioritize bugs based on severity of user impact
Proficiency with Apple operating systems, including iOS, macOS, tvOS, visionOS, and watchOS

- RSU, At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $134,800 and $245,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
