Job description

We are looking for a talented Software Engineer to join our team. This is an opportunity to work withunique, large data sets. You will take a role in furthering the big data footprint at Ancestry and work closely with Business Intelligence, Data Infrastructure, and Data Services teams in developing and maturing our data systems and architecture.

You Will...

  • Be a critical part of the data platform team, be responsible for scaling and validating the data platform to meet Ancestry's data growth.
  • Develop, deploy, and support real-time a new automated system streaming for streamlining data lifecycle management.
  • Deploy IAC (Infrastructure as Code) to lay down the infrastructure that the data pipelines utilize.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Web services design?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Experience in Java and a framework such as Spring Boot with 3+ years of experience in an enterprise environment

  • B.S. degree in Computer Science or related field required Experience in Big Data ecosystems, including Spark and Kafka
  • Proficiency in database technologies MySQL (Aurora), Redshift or equivalent
  • Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or other infrastructure as code tool
  • RESTful web service development
  • Good familiarity with AWS AI tools

We are pleased to share the base salary range for this position: $ 94,610.00 - $ 118,260.00 with eligibility for bonus, equity and comprehensive benefits including health, dental and vision. The actual salary will vary by geographic region and job experience. We will share detailed compensation data for a specific location during the recruiting process.
