Job description
We are seeking a Cyber Engineer with expertise in both enterprise/tactical network architecture and cybersecurity. The ideal candidate will be able to design secure, resilient networks while implementing advanced cyber defense measures in high-demand operational environments.
This role reports to the Chief Product & Technology Office and involves working closely with customers and engineering teams to deliver cutting-edge mechanical designs for RF Tactical & Naval Military Solutions, as well as strategic border protection applications., * Design and configure secure network architectures for tactical and enterprise environments.
- Integrate cybersecurity measures into multi-transport (5G, SATCOM, LOS, Wi-Fi, MANET) communications networks.
- Implement and maintain VPNs, IPsec tunnels, and encrypted data paths for UAV command and control.
- Conduct network vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and compliance audits.
- Develop incident response playbooks and hardening guidelines for tactical communications.
- Support TAK/ATAK server integration and secure data dissemination across UAV platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure interoperability between network and cyber components.
Requirements
Do you have experience in VLAN?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering and cybersecurity implementation.
- Strong understanding of routing/switching, VLANs, SD-WAN, and secure tunneling protocols.
- Proficiency with firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and SIEM tools.
- Experience with DISA STIG compliance and DoD RMF processes.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret (or higher) security clearance.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in both networking and cybersecurity contexts.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, or Information Assurance.
- Experience securing UAV data links over 5G, SATCOM, and mesh networks.
- Familiarity with zero-trust architecture and endpoint security for tactical deployments.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CCNP Security, or CEH.
- Hands-on experience with Cradlepoint, Peplink, or similar tactical networking equipment.
- Knowledge of cross-domain solutions and secure data transfer between classification levels.
- Experience with Tactical and Commercial MANET Radios
Benefits & conditions
This is a full-time, exempt position, working Monday through Friday; 40 hours per work week; occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Some flexibility in actual work hours may be offered.
Travel
Must be willing to travel 25-30% when required.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
Must be eligible to work in the US and possess or obtain a Secret level clearance
