IT infrastructure Engineer / Analyst

The IT Infrastructure Engineer / Analyst is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and improving the organization's IT infrastructure and end-user technology environment. This role provides technical support for hardware, software, networks, and enterprise systems while ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient IT operations across the business.

The position also supports infrastructure projects, system upgrades, cybersecurity initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts in alignment with corporate IT standards and operational goals.

Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesInfrastructure & Systems Support

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware, software, servers, and network infrastructure.
• Support Windows client and server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and user account administration.
• Administer and maintain VMware virtual environments and related infrastructure systems.
• Support Cisco LAN/WLAN/WAN network devices and connectivity issues.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security to ensure operational reliability.
• Maintain hardware and software asset inventory and lifecycle management processes.
• Ensure compliance with corporate IT policies, procedures, and cybersecurity standards.

User Support

• Provide technical support to end users through the IT Service Desk ticketing system.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, printer, network, and connectivity issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain service levels and KPI targets for response and resolution times.
• Escalate complex issues when necessary while maintaining ownership through resolution.
• Provide technical guidance and training to users as needed.

Projects & Continuous Improvement

• Participate in IT infrastructure and digital transformation projects.
• Assist project teams during planning, implementation, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support activities.
• Research and recommend technology improvements that enhance system performance, security, and operational efficiency.
• Support automation and scripting initiatives to improve IT processes and reduce manual tasks.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to implement infrastructure solutions.

Security & Compliance

• Support network security initiatives including VPNs, firewalls, endpoint protection, and access controls.
• Assist with backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
• Maintain data security and confidentiality in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Additional Responsibilities

• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.

Do you have experience in Windows?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, * Working knowledge of LAN/WLAN/WAN networking concepts and troubleshooting.

• Experience supporting Microsoft Windows operating systems and Windows Server environments.
• Familiarity with VMware virtualization technologies.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and enterprise productivity tools.
• Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure preferred.
• Basic scripting or automation knowledge (PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.) preferred.
• Knowledge of VPNs, firewalls, and general cybersecurity best practices preferred.
• Experience with SQL or database environments is a plus.

• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, or technical support.
• Manufacturing environment experience preferred.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA, Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, AWS, or Azure certifications are a plus., * Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use computer equipment for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.
