And of course, we love what we do Sounds like your kind of place?

Your job

At the crossroads between emerging technologies and service management, the Observability Team designs, implements, and operates the monitoring infrastructure of Proximus.

We deliver systems that offer real-time visibility across the entire ecosystem - network, IT applications, and digital services - enabling operational teams to quickly identify events, understand their impact, and accelerate resolution.

We support every major evolution of Proximus technologies (mobile & fixed networks, IT platforms, cloud, microservices) and continuously adapt our tools to guarantee the best customer experience and support operational excellence.

Current Challenges

  • Adopt new techniques (AI, unsupervised anomaly detection, auto-discovery, service modelling…) to reduce operational workloads.

  • Shift from component-level to service-centric monitoring to assess real service/customer impact.

  • Reduce time to detect anomalies through proactive and preventive insights.

  • Reduce time to repair via automation and improved root cause analysis.

  • Standardise monitoring across Proximus while addressing existing monitoring gaps.

  • Improve incident resolution time and operational cost efficiency., * You are involved early in business and technical projects to define monitoring requirements.

  • You analyse technical specifications, design the appropriate monitoring solution, and implement it.

  • You translate infrastructure and network events into service-level and customer-impact views.

  • You manage, configure, and integrate observability platforms (Dynatrace, Splunk, Watson AI) to ensure true end-to-end visibility.

  • You apply AI/ML techniques for anomaly detection, RCA, and predictive operations.

  • You design and implement the automation of operational workflows (event correlation, remediation playbooks…).

  • You continuously optimise monitoring strategies (reduce noise, false positives, and operational load)., Installation, configuration and troubleshooting on Linux, Windows, Kubernetes and cloud platforms; auto-instrumentation for JVM, .NET, Node.js, PHP, Go; ActiveGate deployment, scaling and network zone configuration.

  • Kubernetes & Cloud Observability: Dynatrace Operator (CloudNativeFullStack/AppOnly), workload and pod monitoring, Kubernetes events and metrics, integrations with AWS, Azure and GCP, native cloud services (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, GCP Ops Logs), cloud tagging and metadata enrichment.

  • Logs, Metrics & Traces: Dynatrace Log Management & Analytics (Grail), DQL query creation and optimization, log ingestion using FluentBit, OpenTelemetry Collector and OneAgent, solid understanding of OpenTelemetry concepts.

  • CI/CD & DevOps: Integration of Dynatrace within CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, ArgoCD).

  • Application Architecture: Microservices-based architectures, service mesh (Istio, Linkerd), API gateways, and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ).

  • You have extensive experience working in complex IT and telecommunications environments.
  • You demonstrate a solid understanding of telecommunication principles, including network topologies and architectures, as well as a good knowledge of IT systems such as operating systems, databases and virtualization technologies.
  • You are able to produce clear, structured and concise documentation, including models, diagrams and operational workflows.
  • You possess a strong understanding of monitoring and observability concepts and protocols, with a strong interest or solid expertise in AIOps.
  • You have hands-on experience with AI-driven monitoring solutions and automated remediation mechanisms.
  • You are familiar with DevOps and Agile methodologies and apply them effectively in your work.
  • Knowledge of industry standards such as eTOM and ITIL is considered an asset.
  • You demonstrate a strong customer focus, excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
