Staff Mobile Engineer - React Native / Mobile Architecture

• Role: Staff Mobile Engineer - React Native, mobile architecture, performance and release quality, * Own and evolve the React Native mobile architecture across iOS and Android

What you will do

• Take ownership of important mobile architecture topics and drive them from diagnosis to production impact
• Design and implement high-quality mobile product features with strong attention to user experience and maintainability
• Improve app performance, reliability and release confidence across iOS and Android
• Identify technical debt, propose pragmatic improvements and execute with strong delivery discipline
• Partner with Product and Design to turn product goals into robust mobile solutions
• Collaborate with Backend and Data teams on API contracts, tracking, experimentation and product instrumentation
• Raise the engineering bar through code review, mentoring, documentation, tooling and technical standards
• Contribute to decisions that shape the long-term mobile platform and team practices

Do you have experience in iOS?, * Scope: high-usage consumer mobile product, iOS/Android delivery, platform quality and staff-level technical influence

• Stack: React Native, TypeScript/JavaScript, native iOS/Android integration, mobile CI/CD, testing, observability, APIs
• Language: FLUENT English required, We are looking for a strong Staff Mobile Engineer with deep React Native expertise, strong product sense and proven ownership of mobile architecture in production.
• You should not be a pure feature developer waiting for specs. This role requires someone able to diagnose ambiguous problems, make architectural decisions, collaborate across functions and raise the quality bar for the mobile platform.
• You should also not be a manager detached from delivery. The role remains hands-on, with strong technical execution and concrete production impact.

You may be a strong fit if you have:

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with strong mobile engineering depth
• Strong hands-on React Native experience in production environments
• Proven ability to own mobile architecture topics across iOS and Android
• Experience improving performance, reliability, release quality or developer experience on a mobile app
• Strong understanding of mobile product constraints: UX, app lifecycle, platform differences, offline/latency issues, analytics and release risk
• Ability to work across Product, Design, Backend, Data and Engineering teams
• Strong code quality standards and pragmatic delivery discipline
• Experience mentoring engineers, influencing technical choices or setting engineering standards
• Fluent in English

Strong pluses:

• Experience in a high-usage consumer mobile app
• Native iOS or Android knowledge / native module experience
• Mobile CI/CD, testing automation, observability or crash monitoring ownership
• Experience with international products, marketplace, ecommerce, fintech, loyalty, shopping or growth-oriented products
• Staff / Tech Lead / Principal-level influence without necessarily being a people manager

Not the right fit if

• You have mostly web/frontend experience with only light mobile exposure
• You have used React Native only on small side projects or prototypes
• You are looking for a pure management role with little hands-on engineering
• You prefer well-specified execution over ambiguous architecture/product ownership
• You are not comfortable working in English
