Job description
We are currently recruiting for a Technology Support & Systems Assistant to provide proactive, user-focused support while assisting with systems, projects, and day-to-day operations to enable staff to work efficiently and confidently., User Support & Engagement
- Provide responsive and approachable Technology Support across all offices, resolving issues and guiding users to make effective use of technology
- Proactively identify recurring issues or training gaps and suggest improvements
- Effectively handle the starter / leaver processes, with a strong emphasis on security, hardware configuration (laptops and mobiles), along with relevant system and application access.
Team & Operational Support
- Support the smooth running of Technology operations, including ticket management, asset tracking, and system administration
- Take ownership of a variety of administrative tasks to support the wider Technology team and improve efficiency.
Systems & Continuous Improvement
- Assist in maintaining and improving Microsoft 365, devices, and core systems
- Contribute ideas and small improvements that enhance productivity across the business
Projects & Development
- Support delivery of Technology and business projects, gaining exposure to new technologies and ways of working
- Assist in testing, documentation, and rollout of new solutions
Training & User Enablement
- Provide informal training and onboarding support to users of varying technical ability
- Help build knowledge articles and simple guidance for staff
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with colleagues across the business and external suppliers to resolve issues and deliver solutions
- Communicate clearly and professionally, adapting style to different audience
- Regularly visit offices throughout the SHW network
Requirements
Do you have experience in Customer service?, * Keen to learn and develop a career in Technology
- Comfortable working across a wide range of tasks, from user support to projects
- Proactive in helping others and improving how things are done
- Organised and willing to take ownership of tasks
- Interested in both technology and how people use it, * Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate confidently and patiently over the phone and in person, differentiating your approach based on knowledge level of technology
- Confidentiality around sensitive information and data
- Interest in Technology and willingness to learn
- Basic familiarity with Microsoft 365 (or similar)
- Ability to prioritise and manage tasks
- Attention to detail around following and creating instructions
- Positive, proactive attitude, always looking for additional ways to support the team
- Flexibility to travel between sites across London and the South East, ensuring regular office visits
Desirable:
- Exposure to Technology Support, either through work, study, or personal interest
- Awareness of cloud systems (e.g. Microsoft 365, Azure)
- Interest in automation (Power Automate, etc.)
- Understanding of basic Technology security principles
