Job description
To provide fault support to the electricity control team. Working with commercial and end user customers to facilitate their requests safely and effectively. To manage GTC's electrical network planning requirements., To provide efficient updates to GTC End user customers in relation to faults to reduce complaints and queries received into the Electricity Department.
To complete summary of faults and other operational issues on GTC networks and calculate customer minutes off-supply to evaluate the efficiency of our response teams and provide GTC End user customers with guaranteed standard payments where applicable.
Investigate voltage complaints and liaise with the upstream operators to resolve long standing issues.
Quoting and organising GTC operatives to attend customer isolation requests.
Assist with communicating with representatives of other Distribution Network Operators undertaking connection and fault works, to ensure sufficient notification and updates are given to GTC End user customers.
An opportunity to undertake Standby Duties within the Communications team.
Any other duties as required by the Network Operations Engineer., You will be required to participate in a standby rota.

Requirements
Do you have experience in Microsoft Word?, Do you have a GCSE?, GCSE or equivalent English, Maths and a Science.
City & Guilds Level 2.
Experience/Knowledge
Experience in communicating well with individuals at all levels and engaging with customers.
Experience with Microsoft programmes including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of the electricity distribution industry and Guaranteed Standards.
Abilities/Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including excellent telephone manner.
Strong attention to detail for keeping accurate records and processing invoices.
Ability to work independently as well collaborate as part of a team.
Desirable
A-Levels or equivalent.
Knowledge of health and safety legislation.
Ability to identify process improvements.
