Job description
As a Data Analysis (Trolleys), you will be employed by one of the UK's largest trolley suppliers TMS, working within Tesco to support the management and performance of trolley operations. You will be an integral part of the Business Support team, responsible for overseeing the trolley operation across large and convenience stores. Your goal is to ensure customers can easily access the right type of trolley to suit their needs.
A key focus of this role is the management, analysis, and reporting of large and complex data sets. You will play a critical role in developing new and improved ways of tracking performance, identifying trends, and driving data-led decisions across the operation. You will continuously seek opportunities to improve reporting processes, challenge existing methods, and introduce more efficient, insight-driven ways of working.

Accountable for:
- Performance Monitoring & Data Analysis:Track, analyse, and report on supplier and operational performance using large data sets. Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to drive continuous improvement.
- Data Management & Reporting:Maintain and develop robust tracking tools and dashboards (primarily in Excel), ensuring accurate, timely, and meaningful reporting. Continuously improve how data is captured, structured, and presented.
- Insight Generation:Translate data into clear insights and actionable recommendations to support decision-making across the business.
- Budget Tracking:Support the tracking and management of budgets and financial data, ensuring accuracy and cost-effective operations.
- Supplier Collaboration:Work closely with suppliers to enhance the trolley operation and implement innovative, data-led solutions.
- Feedback Analysis:Gather, track, and analyse feedback from stores and customers, using insights to influence improvements.
- Communication:Manage communications related to trolleys, ensuring stakeholders have access to accurate, up-to-date data and insights.
- Operational Support:Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support delivery of trolley plans and ensure consistent operational performance.
- Change & Continuous Improvement:Drive and support improvements in processes, particularly around tracking, reporting, and data visibility.
- Training Material:Ensure training materials are up to date, clear, and data-informed to support store execution.
- Project Leadership:Lead projects, trials, and data-led initiatives, assessing operational impacts and tracking outcomes.
- Integrity and Compliance:Follow the business code of conduct, acting with integrity and due diligence at all times.
Requirements
Do you have experience in SQL?, * Advanced Excel & Data Skills (Essential):Strong experience working with large data sets, including advanced Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, lookups, data modelling, dashboards). Ability to build and improve tracking tools and reporting frameworks.
- Analytical Thinking:Ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and turn insights into actionable recommendations.
- Data Visualisation:Present data clearly and effectively to a range of stakeholders, simplifying complex information.

- Organisation & Planning:Manage multiple data streams and priorities, ensuring accuracy and deadlines are met.
- Tracking & Attention to Detail:Ensure high levels of accuracy in data tracking, reporting, and analysis.
- Budget Management:Confident in tracking and analysing financial data.
- Relationship Building:Develop strong working relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.

- Customer Focus:Use customer and store data to identify opportunities to improve the overall experience., * Do you have advanced Excel skills including competent with creating pivot tables, V-lookups, data modeling?

Benefits & conditions
You will be required to work 36 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm, with a 45 minute unpaid lunch break each day
Pay & Benefits
- £17.46 per hour
- 20 days annual leave entitlement per holiday year, plus 8 bank holidays and 1 personal day in each holiday year
