Senior Infrastructure Architect

*NOTE: We are looking to onboard the candidate asap. Client will not be sponsoring this position for FT employment should there be a desire to convert to an FTE. We are seeking a highly experienced Senior IT Infrastructure Architect to lead the design, modernization, and optimization of enterprise infrastructure across on-premises, hybrid-cloud, and cloud-native environments. This individual will provide strategic technical leadership and drive initiatives focused on automation, scalability, security, resiliency, and operational excellence., Design and maintain enterprise infrastructure architecture across cloud, virtualization, networking, storage, and data center environments Lead infrastructure modernization initiatives including cloud transformation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, containerization, observability, and AIOps Develop architectural standards, governance frameworks, and technical roadmaps Partner with Infrastructure, Security, Cloud, Network, and Application teams to deliver scalable and resilient solutions Drive automation across provisioning, monitoring, patching, and infrastructure lifecycle management Ensure compliance with security, governance, and operational best practices Evaluate emerging technologies and vendor solutions aligned with business strategy Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and high-availability initiatives Mentor engineering teams and provide technical leadership across the organization Communicate effectively with both technical and executive stakeholders

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field 10+ years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Systems Architecture, or Enterprise Infrastructure roles Strong expertise with Microsoft Azure, hybrid cloud environments, virtualization, Windows/Linux systems, networking, and storage technologies Hands-on experience with: Terraform / Infrastructure as Code CI/CD pipelines Git, Jenkins, Python JSON / YAML Monitoring and observability platforms JFrog Artifactory Strong knowledge of ITSM and ITIL processes including incident, change, and event management Experience with enterprise networking, TCP/IP, security frameworks, and data center technologies Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills Industry certifications such as Azure, ITIL, or TOGAF are preferred Preferred Experience Cloud modernization and migration initiatives Automation and orchestration platforms Enterprise infrastructure governance and compliance Large-scale production environments
