Job description

HumanHire is partnering with a property management firm in Hauppauge to help find a Help Desk Technician for their office. This is a chance to join a $200M company that has been in business on Long Island for nearly 35 years! In this role, you'll be responsible for responding to service tickets, troubleshooting IT issues throughout their main HQ & satellite offices, and assisting employees with their computer maintenance.

This is an ideal role for an entry-level grad or early-stage IT professional who wants to join a company that promotes from within, FAST!, * Respond to help desk tickets through ServiceNow, Jira, Remedy, or similar ticketing systems

  • Troubleshoot common software issues, including Microsoft Office, remote desktop tools, and internal business applications
  • Set up, configure, and support desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other hardware
  • Assist with basic network troubleshooting, including Wi-Fi, VPN access, DNS, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, and firewalls
  • Help manage user accounts, permissions, password resets, and access requests in Active Directory
  • Support software installs, updates, and deployments using SCCM or similar tools
  • Document ticket updates, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions clearly

Requirements

Do you have experience in macOS?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * 0-1 year of IT support, help desk, desktop support, or technical troubleshooting experience

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows 10/11, macOS, and Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, Wi-Fi, and firewalls
  • Exposure to Active Directory, user permissions, or account setup
  • Comfortable troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals
  • Strong communication skills and ability to support non-technical users
  • Willingness to learn tools like SCCM, Windows Server, Meraki, Jira, ServiceNow, or Remedy.
